Become a Toyota-certified technician
The Toyota T-TEN Regional program is designed to develop students into highly skilled Toyota and Lexus technicians. This is accomplished using Toyota/Lexus curriculum that is approximately 90% hands-on. Classroom and lab activities will be performed on a fleet of new Toyota and Lexus vehicles in a state-of-the-art automotive facility. Throughout the program students will also “earn while they learn” for four eight-week internships. Upon successful completion of the Stark State College Toyota T-TEN program students will earn a total of three stackable short-term certificates from Stark State and will become a Toyota Certified Technician.
All three certificates can be completed in less than 20 months. Students enrolled in the program attend eight weeks of class followed by an eight-week internship at a Toyota or Lexus dealership. There are five total eight-week periods at Stark State and four eight-week internships throughout the program.
Toyota T-TEN is a national program that Stark State is certified by Toyota and Lexus to deliver. All of Stark State’s automotive programs are also accredited by the ASE Education Foundation.
Scholarships and financial aid are available. Housing is available for students residing outside of the local area.
