You can pursue roles such as help desk technician, IT support specialist, desktop support technician, technical support specialist (product/software support), IT support analyst/Tier 2 support and IT coordinator/assistant. 

The estimated number of job openings (from replacement needs, retirements etc.) is about 50,500 openings per year despite the small decline. 

Graduates work at IT consulting firms, managed service providers for user-support roles, educational services, government, software publishers/technology product companies and companies with internal IT support. 

The associate degree requires 64 credits and can be completed in about two years. The certificates can be completed in about two to three semesters.

Courses are offered online, on the main campus and in some hybrid formats.

Options may include the Choose Ohio First Scholarship, Fortisure Fellows Scholarship and federal aid through FAFSA.

Some credits will transfer. However, we don’t have a specific articulation agreement for Help Desk, so you’ll need to check with your school of interest.

Class sizes typically range from 5-20 students, with access to tutoring, labs and career services.
