Get to your degree quicker with CCP and Stark State — save thousands along the way 

Graduate from college sooner by earning college and high school credit at the same time. The college credits you earn at Stark State can be used to complete an associate of arts or associate of science degree, which you can then transfer to any Ohio public university toward a bachelor’s degree.

Stark State’s CCP courses are for students in grades 7-12 and are offered at high schools, on our campus and online.

How to apply

As a high school student, you can graduate from college sooner by earning college and high school credit at the same time – free – with CCP. You must apply online with a Stark State College application to take a CCP class at our College. Follow the steps below to apply. Need some help?

Compete the College Credit Plus student application online. 

Helpful hint: It’s extremely important to enter the correct data in all parts of the application. Please make sure that you include the right information for your high school, social security number, citizenship status and date of birth.

To register for courses, you’ll need to supply your high school transcript. Contact your high school guidance office to get your records and send to ccp@starkstate.edu (preferred method) or:

Complete your assessment in one of three ways: 

  • Provide your ACT or SAT scores (if you’ve taken the test within the last five years). If you haven’t yet taken the ACT test, the Stark State code is 3345
  • Check with your high school guidance office to see if you may take the ACCUPLACER assessment at your high school. 
  • Have the results of any ACCUPLACER assessment you’ve taken in the past five years at another college or university or at your high school sent to the Admissions Office.
