Yes. The number is determined by your high school, so discuss this with your guidance counselor.

The only difference between a class at a high school and the College is the number of days per week the class meets. At your high school, you will follow a normal schedule. Most classes at the College only meet two days per week. Otherwise, you will cover the same material and take the same tests.

Textbooks for classes taught at your high school are provided by your school and must be returned at the end of the semester. Textbooks for the classes taught on a Stark State campus are paid for by the high school but must be obtained from the College Bookstore in room G105 in the G building on main campus. Check with your high school guidance counselor to determine if the school wants the books returned or if you may keep the books.

Yes. All students will use the same format for the username and initial default password.

  • Your username will be the first initial of your first name, your full last name, your two-digit birth month and your 2-digit birth day.
    • Example: Fredrick M. Smith, born 6/15/92. Username would be: fsmith0615.

Each instructor will provide you with information about the class syllabus on your first day of class. In the syllabus, you will find contact information for your instructor and other information that’s important to your success.

As a CCP student, you have access to all services provided to any other Stark State student.

You have one week to withdraw without any penalty.

  • If you withdraw during that time frame, your record is erased.
  • If you withdraw from a course after that week but before the final drop date, you will get a “W” on your transcript, but it will not affect your GPA.
  • If you do not withdraw until after the final drop date, you will receive an “F” for that course, and it will affect your GPA.

To withdraw from a class, you must meet with your instructor and complete the required paperwork. The complete policy can be found in the College’s policy and procedure manual. The policy is No. 3357:15-13-16.

Please contact your school counselor for information regarding further impacts of course withdrawal.
