FAQs
Yes, we offer credit for most IT certifications, including A+, CCNA, and most Microsoft Certifications.
Yes, but they vary greatly by semester. Most of the networking classes have equipment for the labs so that students get hands-on experience. For example, we have several racks filled with Cisco routers and switches, and each week in those courses, the students complete live labs on the equipment.
You have access to free tutoring both in-person and online. Full-time faculty maintain ten office hours a week, including dedicated tutoring time. Our Career Services team also assists with resume preparation and helps you post your credentials on Handshake to connect with potential employers.
Most classes are offered in both in-person and online formats, but there are exceptions. The Cisco routing and switching courses are only offered in person to allow for hands-on lab completion with the equipment.
Not that is required. A student would need a computer and possibly an external hard drive to transfer content between classes and home.
We have several graduates working for prominent companies such as Sherwin-Williams, DRB Systems, Diebold, Aultman Hospital, and Summa Healthcare System. Just about every IT consulting company has hired a Stark State Networking graduate in the last ten years.
