Register by student type
Current | Current students in good academic standing can register for classes through mySSC or with help from their advisor. Make an appointment with your academic or Gateway Advisor through your Starfish Success Network. To access Starfish sign into mySSC >> General menu >> Starfish. You can also use mySSC to make payments, search for classes, drop-add classes, view schedules and check grades.
New | Students who are attending college for the first time and have been admitted must participate in an advising session with a Gateway advisor – by phone or via a virtual appointment – to register for classes.
Transfer | Students coming to SSC from another college and who have been admitted must participate in an advising session with a Gateway advisor – by phone or via a virtual appointment – to register for classes.
Transient/Guest | Admitted students attending SSC for a session with permission from a home college or who are taking courses for personal knowledge or to update skills must participate in an advising session with a Gateway advisor – by phone or via a virtual appointment – to register for classes.

Payment information
Payment of tuition and fees may be made on the installment payment plan. Learn more at www.starkstate.edu/payment.
Wait list
A wait list is available for all courses excluding health program courses. Students may not register for multiple sections of the same course.
The Registration Office is the official source for all student academic records, including registration services for associate degree-seeking students as well as students enrolling in one-year certificate or career enhancement certificate programs. In addition, the Registration Office handles the publication of semester course offerings, final exam schedules, grade reporting and classroom scheduling.
