Stark State College respiratory therapy student Kameron Simpson recently represented the college at the Choose Ohio First Scholar Showcase at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus, Ohio.
Simpson was one of just 32 students from across the state selected to participate in the event, which highlights outstanding recipients of the Choose Ohio First Scholarship. The program supports students pursuing degrees and certificates in STEMM fields—science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine—helping build Ohio’s workforce in high-demand industries.
During the showcase, Simpson presented his work and had the opportunity to connect with state leaders, including Mike Duffey, Chancellor of the Ohio Department of Higher Education, and Jon Husted, U.S. senator for Ohio.
Simpson’s participation reflects the strength of Stark State’s respiratory therapy program and the college’s commitment to preparing students for careers that make a meaningful difference in their communities.
