The Toyota T-TEN Regional program is designed to develop students into highly skilled Toyota and Lexus technicians. This is accomplished through the use of Toyota/Lexus curriculum that is approximately 90% hands-on. Classroom and lab activities will be performed on a fleet of new Toyota and Lexus vehicles in a state of the art automotive facility. Throughout the program students will also “earn while they learn” during four eight week internships. Upon successful completion of the Stark State College Toyota T-TEN program students will earn a total of three stackable career enhancement certificates from Stark State and will become a Toyota Certified Technician.
All three certificates can be completed in less than 20 months. Students enrolled in the program attend eight weeks of class followed by an eight-week internship at a Toyota or Lexus dealership. There are five total eight-week periods at Stark State and four eight-week internships throughout the program.
Toyota T-TEN is a national program that Stark State is certified by Toyota and Lexus to deliver. All of Stark State’s automotive programs are also accredited by NATEF.
