The Strategic Grants Office performs the following functions:

  • Interpret the goals, objectives, and intent of various grant opportunities
  • Set a timeline for grant proposal completion and submission
  • Form a grant proposal development team with the Program Manager/Principal Investigator and other project-relevant staff and faculty members
  • Assist faculty, staff, and administrators in translating a creative idea into a workable plan
  • Provide guidance related to budget development
  • Assist with the collection of relevant data to support the need for the proposed project
  • Help write, revise, edit, and/or critique the proposal to conform to the requirements of the funding organization/agency
  • Complete all institutional assurance and other forms, obtain required signatures, and prepare resolutions for board approval, as necessary
  • Coordinate internal review, approval, and submission of grant proposals
  • Maintain official grant files and other appropriate records.
