RN completion for LPN
Concept based RN completion for LPN
The RN completion for LPN degree offers the LPN an avenue to transition into the RN role capitalizing on the skills they have already learned as an LPN. This program offers the LPN the associate degree nursing education required for licensure and a foundation to pursue further educational opportunities in nursing. The applicant must be a graduate of an approved school and have a current, unrestricted Ohio LPN license.
A licensed practical nurse must inform the department chair if he/she is currently participating in the Ohio Board of Nursing Alternative Program prior to submitting an application to the nursing program.
Note: Applicants must take the TEAS (Technical Essential Academic Skills) test.
In response to the coronavirus, COVID-19 pandemic, we are extending the deadline to apply to the ADN program to MAY 15, 2020. To keep in compliance with Stark State’s request to keep students off campus during this time, please review all of the information contained in the application packet prior to submitting your application. Applications can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or faxed to (330) 966-6586 using the attached cover sheet. The TEAS tests scheduled for March 20 and March 27 and scheduled background checks have been canceled. Information on alternatives and/or rescheduling will be updated once made available.
Mandatory information meetings
All LPN’s who wish to apply to the Nursing Program must attend a mandatory orientation meeting. Applications for the RN Completion for LPN program will only be available at one of the mandatory meetings.
