Krista Allison to speak Feb. 25 during Black History Month at Stark State College

(North Canton, OH – Feb.14, 2020) – The community is invited to join Stark State College students, faculty and staff in hearing guest speaker Krista Allison discuss “The Starfish Effect” at 11 a.m. Feb. 25.

Allison, who is a consultant to Stark Education Partnership, will speak in room M101 in the Business and Entrepreneurial Center at Stark State at 6200 Frank Ave. NW, North Canton.

Formerly director of student, family and community support in the Canton City School District, she has served in leadership roles at the state, county and school district levels. Her focus has been on creating strategic policies, programs and systems to address both academic and non-academics student needs. She volunteers with various community organizations.

Allison holds a bachelor’s degree from Baldwin-Wallace University and a juris doctorate from Case Western Reserve University; she also is a fellow of the Institute for Educational Leadership Policy.

The event is sponsored by the SSC Office of Diversity in recognition of Black History Month.
