Stark State College, City of Akron announce new location for CDL training
(Akron, OH – July 23, 2019) – Stark State College and the City of Akron are announcing a new location for the College’s commercial driver’s license (CDL) training facility. The new location at 2270 Picton Parkway, is in a Joint Economic Development District with the City of Akron and Springfield Township.

KeyBank Foundation funds scholarships for Stark State College students from Akron Public, Canton City schools
KeyBank Foundation recently awarded a $50,000 grant to Stark State College Foundation to provide scholarships to current and prospective students.
Inspired by fantasy works and influenced by comic book art, Eric Kemphfer merges these styles using digital techniques alongside traditional pencils and ink. His work is being showcased through Jan. 29 in the Stark State College gallery on the second floor of the Student Center, 6200 Frank Ave. NW, North Canton.
Stark State College has invited Ohio artists to apply to be featured in its new Stark State College Akron at Perkins facility.
Four panels of the internationally celebrated AIDS Memorial Quilt again will be on display at Stark State College. The free exhibit will be open to the public daily from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, 4, 5 and 6.
The art of award-winning artist Irene Tobias Rodriguez will be featured Oct. 31-Nov. 30 in the Stark State College gallery on the second floor of the Student Center.
