Stark State College student group to host Child Abuse Prevention event

(North Canton, OH – April 11, 2023) – The public is invited to a Child Abuse Prevention event set for April 19 from 11 am-2 pm in M100 of the Business and Entrepreneurial Center at Stark State College, 6200 Frank Ave. NW, North Canton.

Beth Cardina, program coordinator at CASA/GAL (court appointed special advocate/guardian ad litem) program of the Summit County juvenile court, will speak on abuse/neglect and mandated reporting laws.

Local service agencies also will be on hand to share resources and information.

The event is sponsored by Stark State’s Human and Social Services Student Association.

The partnership is Stark State’s second sister college agreement with APS and is in addition to the partnership it already has with Garfield CLC.
