The self-taught artist has worked full-time in watercolor painting for the last 12 years. After experimenting with many styles and topics, she now specializes in impressionistic portraits of people and pets.

With a secretarial degree from Timken High School, she worked for John and Annie Glenn, then spent 13 years working for Sen. Glenn in the U.S. Senate, including as chief of staff and deputy campaign manager of his 1984 run in the presidential primary. With a master’s degree in public administration from Harvard University, she held several government leadership positions, including commissioner of the Indiana EPA. She later moved into non-profit management at the national level.

Kathy moved back to Canton three years ago with her husband, Gary. Her artwork is showcased at www.kpbart.weebly.com.

All art in the Stark State exhibit is available for purchase with 25 percent of the proceeds going to the College’s aesthetics fund for the purchase of artwork for the campus.
